Pleasantly Surprised.

Decent beer selection, comfortable bar, above average pizza. I was weary and a friend told me it wasn't that great.. I'm definitely going to give them more business.

Good Pizza, Friendly Staff

Checked out Gusto! for dinner last week and were pleasantly surprised!! We split a small antipasto salad, which could have benefited from a little more meat, but was still prepared fresh. My husband wanted to try the Italian kabobs (meatballs, pepperoni, and Italian sausage skewered with onion & mushroom, then covered in marinara). They were really good! The meatballs had great flavor - just the right amount of fennel. Pizza was above average. Next time I will ask for a bit more sauce. Cheese was totally melty and delicious. Wine & beer list is not miles long but they still manage a nice variety. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely visit again! If you are in the Fountain Square area you should stop in!!!!!!!

Nothing overly fancy,.....but VERY special

I had wanted to try Gusto's pizza for quite a while, but had just not found the opportunity to,......until TODAY! First of all, consumers, you must know that this is a no frills pizza shop. There isn't a hostess at the door. And there are no high school drop outs dressed in a mouse costume posing for pictures with the kids. What they do is pizza and beer, and they do them both VERY well. You like good Italian/New York style crispy yet fold-able thin crust pizza like I do? Stop into Gusto's and order a pizza. You like good beer holes, where they not only have a pretty darn nice selection, but also have good prices? Stop into Gusto's and order a few brewskis. (wide variety in bottles and at least 5 on tap.) You like a place that does both good pizza and good beer? Then good lord, just go! Get to know the owner and staff, all very nice people, and make it your home away from home. I like good pizza, and I adore any establishment that really knows their beers. These attributes are all I could ever want out of a pizza shop. This establishment is absolutely perfect.
