Blu's a bit unlike anything else downtown

There's not much else in Indy like Blu and that makes it kind of a stand out. It's almost in the same swanky class as Nicky Blaine's but runs a little younger and a little hipper.

The DJ's are damn fine they deserve some props and are a cut above your standard club fare. Expect it to be danceable with a lean towards mixes of hip hop and a bit of rock thrown in for good measure

The layout is really odd, it's a fairly long narrow club with a generous VIP area. The smallish dance floor is packed back to back on the weekend and there's always a body ticker working the door making sure they don't run over capacity.

Great staff and they make a fine drink. Dressing to impress is the name of the game and ladies in evening gowns and guys in sports suits are the norm.

I'd give Blu five stars if their live music nights drew more of a crowd, or perhaps they just did them on more crowded nights. It's always nice to listen to a bit of Jazz in plush environment.

Too Small

This place would be pretty good if it were a little bigger. Some small places seem intimate, this just seems cramped. The VIP area isn't much better since they typically have three or four groups in there at once. Overall it's a decent club to dance or people watch.

Scary in the daylight.

I have had a couple of good times at night in this bar/club and have had an awesome bartendress. However, I have been there to set up for a special event while it was daylight and, like most bars, when the regular lights were in on I felt like I was in a warehouse. Overall, it is a cool, kind of different place to chill though.
