I was seeking a good meat and potato kinda meal and I found it. Real food and "green" table coverings etc.I liked the butcher paper kinda place mat.The service was prompt for me.I was able to choose from a wide gammit. I went with the turkey special and I felt all stuffed just like Thanksgiving day. The wine was pricey, but I always think wine costs too much.
This place is actually really good - it's on the pricey side but everything is made fresh daily... which may be why others have reviewed and said they were out of items they tried to order. They don't even own a microwave there, everything is fresh. Their chilli is great, they make really good shakes/malts the old fashioned way, huge battered onion rings with horseradish sauce on the side, tasty bison burgers, good old fashioned meat and potatoes kinda meals... the bartender pours a nice drink as well. Also, the place really makes an effort to be environmentally friendly. I think the reason to eat here is for the bison, it's one of the few restaurants that serves it. If that is not your taste, it may not be worth it for you.
Didn't care for the overall feel of the place. It has kind of a homestlye feel, but the prices are a little steep. I would give it another shot, but only if someone else were picking up the tab.
Whenever a vendor decides to take us out to lunch, it's always straight to Ted's. You can't beat their bison burgers for lunch. The onion rings are awesome too. But what really has impressed everyone is the Pot Roast. I was the last one to finally be coerced of the 5 of us or so. After everyone raved about the Pot Roast, I finally had to give it a shot. Not ever having been a fan of Pot Roast, I have to admit, the Pot Roast was outstanding.
For those hesitant to eat bison burgers, you can always eat ground beef or chicken.
The food is tasty when they have it
I went to Ted's Montana Grill yesterday. The service is average, but there were some issues with either the management or kitchen. Ted's has only 4 appetizers on the menu, but the were out of two. Also, right before we received our food, we were informed that they were out of mashed potatoes. My salmon was quite tasty, but my finance's burger was nothing special.
When I used the restroom, I saw that one of the stall doors had fallen off, and was kept in the stall.
Overall, I don't think I'd go back. I got the feeling that this place was at the beginning of a quick decline.
