great thai food
I love this place, The Pad Thai is outstanding, my girlfriend gets that every time we go there. Her order is very large so I get the leftovers and I get to try something different. Last time there I had a Thai beef salad that was great I had never had anything like it. I can not wait to go back and try something else. The service was very good but they get busy at lunch so I call ahead to order it to go. Thai One On is one of the best places to eat in the Avon Area.
Better Than Chinese
"Thai One On" has good service and good food. I had red curry shrimp and my wife had Thai Basil. We shared both and they were great. You can get your food from 1-10 on a spice level, I got #8 and it was spicey, I hate it when I order something extra spicy and they won't do it or it comes out bland. No problem here, my wife got # 10 and wow! it was hot but so good.
Great food but not Thai Hot
I love their Panang and Red Curry -- the only problem is they can not make their food "Thai Hot". I'll ask for a heat level of 10 and it's only about a 5. Either way I still go there once a week -- their food has great flavor and I crave it. Plus the portions are big and I always have some for a doggy bag. Sevice is excellent, very quick -- I've never had to wait long for my meal to be brought out.
RU kidding me!
I tried so many Thai restaurants in California and in comparison Thai One On does not even compare. The restaurant is not bad but for the Indianapolis/Avon area they think this is the real Thai food. Just for an example, I wanted to see if they have a Thai Mango Sticky Rice dessert and the response was "We don't know what that is?". This is a common dessert in Thai restaurant and they don't know what it is. So I ask you again RU kidding me?
I've tried it many times
This place is in my home town. Trust me. I REALLY want to like it. But every time I go, I'm just not satisfied with my order. The egg rolls are too greasy and the sauces are just...plain. It's still better than eating at McBurgerWendys, but I'd rather drive the extra miles to go somewhere else.
