If you're cold as ice, someday you'll pay the price of admission to this Downtown ultra-lounge. Sleek and modern are the key words here. Grab a bite of upscale dining next door at Sushi on the Rocks.

Sushi on the Rocks started advertising 1/2-price sushi happy hour. We were so excited! But when my friends went (and the signs for half-price were all over the place), their bill came and they were charged full price.
The waiter said that only three rolls were part of the half-price deal, but that wasn't noted anywhere. It's a bait-and-switch scam. My friends argued their way back to what they should have been charged, but be forewarned -- half-price sushi Downtown sounds too good to be true, because it is!
As you can see, I love Sushi! Lured in by the bait of 1/2 price sushi, I certainly wasn't happy about the "Switch" when I got my bill. When I asked the waiter, he told me that only one of the rolls I ordered qualified. At my table the total bill was over $100!
The Sushi was ok, the eel tasted really fishy. Either way, a huge disappointment. I still have to look at Ginza for the best sushi value (not the best sushi, but the best value) in town.
Okay, so I recently had the opportunity of being booked to perform a show with my group Organic Soul at the ICE Lounge. Now, I had performed there before when the venue was The Lotus, so needless to say, I wasn't really looking forward to the 3rd floor's bad acoustics (ESPECIALLY if a DJ is spinning on the 2nd floor)...
Once we arrived, the decision was made to just perform amoungst the people in the "bed room" (or at leastthatis what I am calling it from now on... The "bed room" is the area of the club that was smuggled from Miami's South Beach and implanted on the 3rd floor of ICE Lounge... I love the attempt at bringing variety to the area, but it would have been great if the sheets were tucked in nicely, or clean woulda been cool too :) Nevertheless, every building has it's quirks, and ICE isn't exempt... The restrooms SUCK. But the show was awesome :)
We have gone just for the sushi so many times and I am never disappointed. The Playboy Roll is fantastic (it comes out on fire!). The sushi chefs are always pleasant and Sirus, (sorry if I spelled it wrong!) the restaurant manager, aims to please. I can't wait to go back for more!

Place is a lot of fun. Go here for great drinks and a fun atmosphere! Bartender Steve Wilson (the bald guy) is super hot.
