Today:
This large family-style dining room is nothing to write home about, but it doesn't need to be. The 14-hour hickory and cherry smoked meat is the star of the show, and once you start eating you'll forget where you are, let alone what it looks like.
Food was good but the wait was long and it was lunch - I would love to go back when I was not in a hurry.
The brisket is indeed fantastic. The half smoked chicken on Tuesdays is top notch. The meat falls right off the bone. They have one of the best lunch cards in town. You only have to eat there five times and the sixth one is free. Only place I know of that rewards you for buying less than 10.
Best BBQ in Indy
The Brisket is by far the best I've had, very juicy and tender. No other place in town touches Squealers brisket. The smoked half chicken is very good too, and the pulled pork is damn good. I haven't tried the ribs or anything else off the menu. I hear the tenderloin is good, but when I go there I want BBQ, and usually the brisket. They have very affordable lunch specials, the best deal being the smoked half chicken. But every day you can get a lunch meal with either the pulled pork or the brisket for around 5 bucks... with a side and chips. The BBQ baked beans are quite tasty. They have sweet tea as well, but, IMO it's a bit too watery and sweet.
I would recommend this place to anybody wanting the best BBQ in Indy.
