Today:
Bunch of squares up here. Square sake glasses, square sushi plates. Modern decor with a Japanese twist.
Just visited Wasabi on 82nd last night and it's true....the Mistake Rolls (pictured above) are pure bliss. I can't wait to go back.
mediocre. as with all Indianapolis sushi restaurants, Wasabi is just so-so. give them credit though for telling they're on 82nd Street in the name of the restaurant. WHAT!? obviously the Mistake roll is awesome but the albacore in ponzu roll is the best!
We find this to be a very reliable sushi stop. Weather taking out the whole family for a nice dinner at a quiet table in back (or back room if the little ones are acting not so quiet) or "date night" at the bar, we have had consistenly good sushi and enjoyed the wine selections. Again, we find that sushi can only go so far in Indy where we lack a saltwater coast, but if you don't mind your fish swimming is tasty sauces this place is nice. We have found many sushi stops in town to be great on weekends but relying more on their sauces than their freshness during the weeknights. Agree, the mistake rolls are a must, sushi rolls very good, nigri sushi above average.
Mistake Roll is no Mistake
The Mistake Roll is by the far the best item on the menu. Don't stop there without getting it.
