One of a Kind....

If you haven't been to Urban Element yet, you are missing great food and drink, artwork from local residents, and homemade desserts. It's kind of like... no wait it's not like any other place in the city. For a quick lunch try the burger or the turkey florentine. If your going for dinner check out the nightly special or you can't go wrong with the salmon. Make sure to wave when you see me there, I love it so much I eat there a couple times a week.

This could be your neighborhood spot..

I lived at The Pennsylvania when this restaurant was being renovated and opened, I literally watched the progress from my balcony. It was like my own little project, looking down at it from above.

The owners were always really great, congenial and friendly. The food was always on point. Definitely worth the stop, or walk downstairs...

You may ask why all the past tense usages? Well long story short I got knocked up, moved to Carmel, moved to San Francisco, and now have moved back. So hopefully at some point I will get to come back and feel like I am living my cool little life all over again.

Hip and quirky without attitude

I loved this place when I worked at the Landmark Center. There are not the plethora of dining options when you work in the north part of downtown compared to the rest. Urban Element was always a delight for lunch or a tasty dinner after working a little late. The food is a little more creative and a lot fresher than what you will get at any chain or bar you will find in the immediate area. The decor is artistic and engaging, and the same could be said of the staff. A great place to enjoy some good food and conversation with friends and coworkers.

Ok food

Once again its a place I frequent, not so much cause i like it, but because i work less than a block away from it. Its nice inside and the patio outside it fun, but for the love of god, get some bigger glasses. I have to get a refill every 2 minutes cause i can take one gulp and its basically gone. Another thing is that its kinda pricey for that kinda deli food. But still a nice place to grab a bite to eat.
