To Smak - We have dined at Steak & Ale for years and have never had bad food or a bad experience in service. We always get the steak -hence the name "Steak & Ale". The atmosphere is pleasant and the steaks out of this world. I give it 4 stars. I am sorry your experience was not good.

Be afraid be very afraid
Please take my advice and don't waste your money. Some people go to visit and drink, but I'm not much of a drinker. I'm there for the food which I'm sure the bartender must have been the cook.
