Danielli Restaurant and Art Gallery at the Canterbury
123 S. Illinois St., Indianapolis, IN, 46225
Wheeling, dealing, and dining was done here by the power brokers of Old Indianapolis. There are other upscale hotels in town now, and even this restaurant has been refreshed and updated, but classic buildings hold appeal.

Awful service
My husband and I went here recently on a Saturday evening, there was no one there, except for ourselves and two other couples the entire evening. The service was awful. When we got there, there wasn't a hostess on duty, when we finally sat down, it took over 15 minutes to get water and to order our wine, when we did finally get our wine, I had to open it b/c our server didn't know how to. I asked for oil and vinegar with my salad, when the salad came, it didn't have anything on it except for black olives and they claimed they didn't have any oil and vinegar. The evening progressively got worse, I am not surprised why there was such a small crowd, I do not forsee this place staying open much longer. And the kicker...NOTHING WAS COMPED!!!!
