Oceanaire Seafood Room

This world-class culinary cruise ship accepts passengers in all styles of dress, but we suggest you do yourself up out of respect for the Chef. Seafood is flown in daily, and Indy's biggest fish swim here just as often. Dock at a table or a tall-backed leather booth. The service and food are first class, and the crabcakes might make your head spin even on dry land. Cruise by the bar but remember -- eat the fish, don't drink like one.

SEAFOOD!

Oceanaire offers the best seafood experience in the city. The service is always awesome and the food selection is fresh and always different. It's a little pricey but worth it when you want to impress a client or a date.

Still not sure

The verdict is still out on this establishment, since moving from California the review of this dining establishment is still an undecided in my book. I will say that "yes it does feel like being on a cruse ship" as they like to describe the interior but is "Cruse ship food" really what you want ??. The food I will say is very fresh as fresh as I would guess that we can get in this area and the oysters are great. So far the best I have had is the giant appetizer platter that features a large selection of seafood with a lobster on the top of a bead of ice. Would I say this is the best we have ever eaten ? Not by a long shot but for the area not bad. The prices are rather high, but this can be expected. As for the overall I'm still not 100% sold on the establishment. I would say enjoy the appetizers and the oyster bar and then go from there.

Titanic Romance

Wow, We visited this place on New Year's Eve and it was the most romantic setting I've been in for a long time. It made you feel like you were on the Titanic. I'm a man mind you so getting into a place that is romantic is usually far in between each time :). The waiter was the best waiter I've ever had the pleasure of dining with because he knew all of the courses and how they were put together by the chiefs. All the courses were delightful, but the lobster, crab, and shrimp entree was the bomb. I've eaten here a few times and have enjoyed it every time but this time by far was the best dining experience I've ever been a part of thank you Oceanaire.

COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEFS

Where do I start? This place is a class act. Beautiful decor, professional staff all dressed in white who are very knowledgable of the menu items. Food was incredible. Menu offers dishes with alot of imagination. Dishes that you probably never tried. I never thought I would become addicted to Duck pate. Each course is like an event. Arrives in a no rush manner, decked out beautifully. The chefs obviuosly take great pride in their work. Portions are good size. Side dishes are enough for two. It's nice to see a restaurant that doesn't charge $10 bucks for a measley serving of asparagus. The Grand Seafood Platter is a must- every shell fish imaginable loaded on top of crushed ice, what a display! Seafood tastes almost like you were dining right on the coast. It's got to be the best seafood place in town to me so far. This establishment is definitely the place to dine with that special someone- very romantic. Thanks for the evenful evenings Oceanaire!!

Impressive

I was able to go to a concierge luncheon right when they opened- it was lovely and relaxed. The wait staff really knew their stuff and it felt that they had been working there for a long time. We were able to meet the manager and schmooze and had a darn good time doing it, too. I don't remember what I ate - I do know I am picky about seafood, and this place is top notch for seafood lovers - it will not dissapoint! And as seafood goes, the price is right. Specialties of the house include Pan-seared Florida Red Grouper, Grilled Pacific Swordfish, Grilled Maine Diver Scallops, Pan-Seared Alaskan Halibut, Black and Bleu Hawaiian Blue Marlin and more!

Unbelievable...WOW!!!

Short and simple, seafood lovers must eat here. Or you are not seafood lovers.

I've been here twice in the last year and everything was perfect both times. Being a single father, I can't afford to go out to a nice place like this often. And therefore, when I do, I expect more than the average, because money is always tight. But, I'll come back here anytime, because I want to make sure I have a great experience when I go out.
