Today:
The contrasting colors and materials give the interior a contemporary feel that stops short of being avant-garde. There is little to distract you from feasting on fishies.
My personal tip...sit at the bar and order up a Kirin Light. Order from the sushi menu and you're good to go.
For those that haven't been by lately (and I'm one of them), Naked Tchopstix has expanded. On a visit a couple days ago I saw that they've taken over the space that used to be next door and made it into a bar area. More tables equals shorter wait. Yay!
Naked Tchoptix is my favorite place for sushi, and my favorite place to suggest to friends and strangers alike. Kudos to those who've already suggested the Playboy roll. It is the best! Mmmm....I'm craving some sushi now!
I love Japanese cuisine and sushi so I'm always willing to try new places. The first time I visited Naked Tchopstix, I was pleasantly suprised! The sushi, great! Just keep in mind that if you are in a hurry for food, save this restaurant for when you have the time to savor the fine cuisine at Naked Tchopstix. It's well worth the patience. Remember, excellent food takes time. Relax and enjoy some sake!
This is probably my favorite place in town to get sushi. I recomend the playboy roll and the corona roll.
Only dined there once (all other times carryout) but the service was great!! So was the sake :)
Whenever I can afford it there is nothing like a box lunch from Naked Chopstixs. The bulgoki beef - wow. The atmosphere is welcomming and hip. With a cafeteria like setting.
The playboy roll is good. I have not yet tried their sushi because I am hooked on the box lunch. So much food.
enjoy!
By far the best place to get sushi in town. Recently added space was a huge improvement. They should have tried to work in a better arrangement for a lobby. On a busy night, people are just standing around the tables, waiting for their names to be called, but that's not too big of a deal to me. Usually good sevrice, except the last time I was in, we had some jacka$$ server who though he was funny, but just wasn't and he was slow, jacked our bills up and forgot our spring rolls, but he didn't charge me for one of the four Kirin's that I had, so I got over it. Needless to say, I'm a big fan no matter how long the meal takes. It's worth the wait.
I love this place for one of my favorate sushi rolls ever the Playboy roll. It is not because I think I am a Playboy. It is a great roll. Did I mention that it comes to the table ON FIRE!!!! You give a man a flaming anything and you have sparked is intrest. The actual taste of the roll is great. The sauces and combination of items in the roll make it an intersting roll that I have not seen attempeted anywere else.
I will be back soon with a smile on my face, and a flaming plate of the playboy on it way to my table.
My wife and I ate there for the first time and loved it. We did have a couple of issues. The first problem I had was that the food took forever but, I guess you can't rush a good thing. Secondly, my wife ordered a salad that she never recieved. That was ok because she decided after seeing all the great food that we ordered that a salad would have spoiled the rest of the meal. However, our server made this up to us by offering a free desert that we did not see on the menu. The desert which was an ice cream wrapedor coated in rice flower (I think) that was strange in texture but amazing in taste. We had two flavors, mango and red bean (?) and both were awesome and left us craving more even though we were about to burst. We first tried the Korean Seafood Pancake wanting to try something different and we hit the jackpot. This fried pancake filled with octopus, shrimp, green onion and who knows what else was amazing and the soy sauce based sauce that accompanied it was perfect. For sushi we ordered the Spider Roll, Corona Roll and the Maui Roll. I highley recomend the Corona and the Maui if you are looking for a change but, the Spider Roll was weak compared to others I have eaten at other places around town. To wrap this rambling all up, we can't wait to go back.
Best Sushi in Town
Hands down this is the best sushi around. I have eaten sushi all over and this is in my top 3 (Taka in San Diego and Sushi Sei in Hermosa Beach). Many say Sakura and H2O in Indy, but for the money and quality, this beats them all. The chefs are friendly so sit at the bar and get to know them. They might even try some new rolls out on you. Order the crunch munch, playboy roll and mafia rolls. The hamachi and maguro are always fresh and tasty!
