If you are going to pay high dollar for a steak, Do it here

Morton's is hands down the best steak house in Indianapolis, not more or less expensive then the other high end steak houses. I don't know how they do what they do but if you are going to lay down that kind of cash do it here. The best steak I have ever eaten, and I have tried them all in Indianapolis.

Over rated cafe type restraunt

My woman took me to this place on my birthday because I had heard it was excellent. I've eaten at almost every steakhouse in Indy and this one is by far the worst one in the city. First of all you are eating in a cafe, come on people if you are going to charge these ridiculous prices at least make an area for fine dining not a school room style cafe. Next the steak had to be recooked twice just to get it the way I ordered it. I ordered it medium. Last we were made to think we needed to get out of there as soon as possible to clear up the table for the next paying customers. Well not all of the places in Indy can have great establishments, can they?

No Go For Me

Oh boy, I felt like I was back in the day in my aunt Sophies basement on Christmas Eve. Cramped and noisy. Low ceilings- our party was able to hear everyone elses conversations but our own. Very incondusive to a romantic evening. I can't even remember the food I ordered for the service and enviroment was so disappointing. Got to say, the place was busy, but I certainly do not see why.

Loved it

Maybe I'm different from most, but when I go to a steak place I tend to focus on the food. I have always had a great piece of meat here and the service is phenomenal. Morton's isn't typically mentioned as often as Ruth's Chris or St. Elmo's but, in my opinion, it's certainly on par with the others.
