At Mexico City Grill, thick walls covered in bright green swirled plaster separate three good-sized dining areas. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes utilizing seafood, poultry, pork and beef, with a healthy list of vegetarian options, to boot. The Mexico City quesadilla illustrates the grill's offerings perfectly -- stuffed with perfectly seasoned meat, so huge that you can barely finish it and so delicious you never want it to end.
Walked into this place and it smelled kinda funny, like some weird incense(?), but once your in there for a minute you don't really notice it. I had a chimichunga and Nikki had some burrito. She woofed hers down so she must of thought it was yummy. The chips were pretty yummy, a lot better than the stale ass ones you usually get at these lil mexican places. They had real salsa too as opposed to "salsa sauce" or whatever the usual stuff is. My chimichunga was huge (as it should have been for 9.25!) and I didn't eat it all. The service was pretty good, didn't have to wait too long to get our drinks and order taken and dude was pretty much on it with the refills. Overall not too shabby for 23 bucks.
Mexican menu with some different offerings.
We really enjoy eating at Mexico City Grille. The place is fairly large with 3 separate dining areas. And, it's tastefully decorated, not garish like some restaurants. No matter what time we've been there the place is clean and spotless. The service is excellent. The thing we really like about the place is that besides the normal menu items that are found on every mexican menu in town, they also offer some exciting additions - there are some lamb dishes and a lot of seafood dishes. The guacamole is wonderful - it's perfect in every way (I'm very picky about my guacamole and so many places really ruin it). They also ceviche (excellent!) and some authentic soups. Their prices might run "slightly" higher than the other places around but the quality of food served here is well worth it.
