Today:
Kolaches are "slightly sweet" Czech stuffed rolls and the stuffing can be anything -- meat, veggies, fruit, cheese or any combination of the above. A good selection of ingredients are available so you can get stuffed on the cheap.
There used to be one in Greenwood right by my husband's work. He ate the heck out of those things. He misses them terribly. They are great. Everything inside of a roll. Breakfast in a roll. Lunch in a roll. Dessert in a roll. Very tasty.
I miss the Greenwood locale terribly!!! please bring it back great keepers of the Kolaches...
the bacon and cheese rock!
be forewarned the ham and cheese is ham that has literally been minced and milled into a ham like paste... not really my favorite.
If I had unlimited wishes, I would wish that Kolache factory was open 24 hours and that they were a nationally widespread chain. Sad when I get off work and want a Kolache or two for dinner and remember that they close at 3:30. :-( My favorite time to get them is for Sunday breakfast before church. Can't pass up the fruit Kolaches, any breakfast Kolaches (love the bacon-egg-chees one!) or the Italian Chicken or Ranchero... mmm now I'm hungry.... If they kept better frozen, I'd buy a month's worth at a time!!!
Kolaches are awesome!!
Kolahes are kind of like rolls with a filling. They are so good!! The location might not be the best, but whenever I'm out that way I stop in for some deliciousness.
The menu is based on availibility, because they are all made fresh. The best thing is that they are super cheap!
