Today:
Joe welcomes land lubbers without even a glance askance. You can get crabs at nearly any bar, but Joe's is probably the only place in Central Indiana that can make you feel good about it.
First time we went there, the food was pretty good. It wasn't busy, but it was like 11:30 am. The young man who was our waiter was very nice and attentive. So, we decided to go again when family came to town. Disaster! It was a Sunday evening around 7 pm. The wait staff just stood around talking, didn't come to ask once if we wanted refills on our drinks. There was only maybe 3 other tables there besides us, it took 40 minutes to get our food. A table who came in after us was served food before us. Grant it, we had six people with us, the other table had four. Still, unacceptable! I was very displeased the second time around!
I can't believe people eat here. Do they go for the dancing waiters? It's a mystery to me why they are still in business. Some of the worst sea food, if you call it that, I have ever tasted and they expected me to pay for it.
I was not yelling when I wrote the last review. I didnt realize caps was on till I was finished. No I dont work for joes and never have, I dont have a crush on waitor Mike but he is very cute. Jos is a good place to eat if your a seafood lover, I go up there regularly with friends to eat and to catch drinks. If you like crab, they have great crab buckets and the patron margaritas are great. The thing with joes is that all there drinks are big which means you get what you pay for, instead of other places that charge a great amount and you get something in the size of a shot glass.
Judging from the all caps yelling, I am deducing Indygirl24 either works for Joe's Crab Shack or else just has a crush on Waiter Mike.
It's okish, It's Better if you get the Coconut Shrimp
I've not found anything to ever impress me beside the coconut shrimp at Joe's. The fish has been consistently so-so and everything is pretty darn greasy.
Service is spotty, the wait staff is luck of the draw. What do you expect for a place in the Walmart parking lot though?
Skip this place and while you're at it skip Red Lobster too. Sea food and chains to not mix well. Joe's is yet another testament to that.
