Today:
Clink your metal chopsticks and spoon out wasabi in a spacious contemporary dining room. This isn't a traditional sushi house, but that's not to that they don't get sushi. It's a modern twist, but the spirit of the food remains.
Get the Cookies.
This places name to fame are the exotic roll creations and the desserts, namely the cookies. Get the cookies. If Nigiri or Sashimi are your thing I'd give it a pass. If you're into new and tasty roll creations they've got something for you.
The crunch roll was nice, there were little bits of fried wonton inside for a textural contrast. I skipped the cucumber, icky stuff, just pickles in the making.
The cuban cigar roll was also really good and satisfied my taste for a bit of crunch with my fish.
The maple pecan cookies with expresso whipped cream really are my reason for going though. The interior doesn't really do it for me for some reason. It feels really open and is generally bustling and loud, I prefer a little more warmth and privacy.
Oh yeah and get the cookies.
Worth a Try
Overall not bad for the area, we entered this restaurant last October. At first we viewed the website and decided that it looked interesting. The location was not what I would call the best but the food was decent the Sushi was a bit pricy for what you received but it was fresh and yes they do use steel chop sticks (this is new to me) but it does give them a tag line that others can not boast. I will say that with time Sushi is now more or less in the main stream and that restaurants now need to ensure that they realize these are no longer specialty establishments and in doing so they need to expand there menu and also understand the importance of fresh delivery every day. The interior was fine they have tried to make it sheik with the decor and flooring but in doing so I do not feel that it fits the exact location. Overall decent and good but not someplace where I would drive out of my way for more than at least twice
