Renovations?!?!

Having been a disloyal customer for the past few months, I had no idea until today that Gabe's was undergoing some renovation. Gone are the semi-matching chairs and beautifully kitchy plastic tablecloths. They've been replaced with orange walls; hanging frosted, colored light shades; new tables; black leather chairs and banquettes; whitewashed half walls and sueded chairs placed strategically in the corners.

It's lovely, really, I just miss the homey atmosphere that clung to the place like a haze. Don't worry...the food is still a slice of home, and it doesn't get much better than the soft buzz of conversation mixed with a piece of pie for dessert at Gabe's.
