Today:
Small and quirky, the City Cafe hangs original art and serves Cajun ketchup. Make a quiet breakfast date with your honey in one of the booths. or grab a quick lunch with co-workers.
Haven't been there for over a year, Several co-workers would have breakfast there. The waitress refused to give us separate checks. About 6 of us now go elsewhere for breakfast.
Just wish it were open on Sunday
Easily, the best breakfast burrito in the city ... I know that's a quirky item to judge a place on, but it really is that good. And a damn fine cup of coffee to boot. Lunches are great, too -- especially mid-workday -- as they aren't overly filling, especially if you get apple slices on the side (instead of the chips) and avoid the Big Cheese (not easy to do). Lunch specials are typically much more creative than the average cafe, and tough to turn down. The atmosphere is clean, friendly, small and simple.
