Today:
This winged bison epitomizes what we love about sports bars -- wings, beer, sports -- while keeping it family friendly.
I like BW3. I like the food. I like the atmosphere. I have warm college memories of the place.
And I can't go there anymore.
My wife and I have gone twice since moving here (and once more to a different location) and had horrifically lousy service each and every time. We get ignored for (swear to god) 45 minutes at a time between drink refills or even getting an order in. And god forbid you want to hurry up with paying so you can try to salvage the evening ... I've actually had to literally track someone down each time just to get the bill picked up.
And we haven't been at any location when it's what I would consider packed (weekday evenings).
Sigh ... I miss my wings and beer ...
We went early this spring, and we had a similar situation. TERRIBLE service. We were there for 3 hours, I kid you not, and saw our waitress like 3-4 times in that entire span. We had to get our own drinks, but tried to track someone down a couple of times, then our waitress helped us check out and she didn't know how to cash us out and got frustrated and threw my wife's credit card on the table at her in frustration. The waitress actually broke down crying. It took another 15 minutes, no joke, to pay our bill...at the counter.
Our companions (my cousin and her husband) heard from a friend who went to the same restaurant that the same waitress actually threw someone's credit card away by mistake.
To be fair, I've had a lot of good experiences at different Buffalo Wild Wings around town too, but that one was enough for 10 marvelous experiences.
Used to love to dine at BW3's, but the service has been mighty slow the last few times I've been there. The food also seems to not be the same yummy goodness that I remember.
I'm not sure where the other reviewers have been going, but my teen boys and I have had all good experiences at the BW3 on SR 37 & 141st. Service has been immediate and attentive, and of course the wings are always what we expect. We'll get a separate carryout order for my wife, and they'll wait until we're almost done before bringing it out even though we'll order it with the rest of ours. We love getting the onion rings with the dipping sauce as an appetizer.
On occasions when we order carryout on our traditional Saturday nights at home, I'll go to the Castleton location. Even on busy sports nights the orders are filled in a timely manner. I'll let them know I"ll be waiting at the bar, and they'll bring my order to me when it's ready.
I had never even heard of B-Dub's (as it has been introduced to me) before moving to Indianapolis. I've lived here for a year now, and have been there at least 20 times. My roommate and I go to the Broad Ripple location every Sunday to watch football, and the service is always great. The atmosphere is a lot of fun. The staff are really friendly and laid back. I look forward to going every week and hope that it doesn't change. It sounds like location really matters, so I hope everyone doesn't totally give up on it, just try a different location.
Note: I do think the food is overpriced for what you get, though.
I've lived here all my two-score years, and two of my top five worst service experiences were at BW3, one in Broad Ripple the other in Castleton. To be fair, the one time at Castleton the whole staff had just quit so the manager and bartender were trying to handle the whole huge place. But you have to wonder how bad it was working there if that many people quit at once.
I haven't been back to the BR location in years, but I used to LOATHE that place. The wing sauce was just too good not to go back. Other places have since figured out how to make hot sauce, so there's no need to endure the insanity. Do they still have the arrangement where you order your food over HERE, but you order your drinks over THERE? And no servers? There are few things more disgusting than a chickenwing bar that is SUPER reluctant to bus their own tables. I know they remodeled sometiime in the past, and maybe they did away with the old way of doing things. But it will forever live in my memory as the worst bar in the world, with the best wings.
I like waiting over an hour for mediocre wings. Most BWW are going downhill but this one just plain sucks. I stay the hell away from this one.
I just checked out this location for my first time friday night with my wife, brother and his girlfriend. We had sincere, friendly, apologetic waitresses and servers, but that was the problem, they had to be apologetic! So many mistakes with our orders. Very long waits between times seeing our waitress. It's probably the first time I haven't tipped! It's a shame, because the bar help was great and the food was respectable. Someone needs to step it up out there!
Why is BW3 in the BBQ catagory? The food used to be good along withthe service when it was regional. Now that they have expanded like Applebee's they are nothing but a diluted factory like chain that has terrible service and food. Save your money and get your bar food at a localy owend bar.
Terrible Televisions
Not the place to go to watch the game...I've seen better TV's from the 1980's.
