Today:
An enthusiastically accommodating sushi spot, Asaka is a casual and commercial take on traditional Japanese design themes.
this place is a favorite for lunch, usually about $8 for a ton of sushi, soup and salad...not a bad deal at all and very fresh.
A few months ago I came in with some friends and parents and we had to wait for a little over an hour just for some nigiri and rolls which was kind of a bummer. My friend and I said it was worth it but it seemed to be a little much for my parents (who seemed to not like the idea of raw fish in the first place). I haven't been for a while because I was afraid of standing at the door again, but surprisingly things have died down a lot. I came in earlier this week and it's almost empty! Since it's not as packed anymore you can still get everything you want pretty quick, though the happy hour prices seemed to have risen 25 cents to 50 cents.
Over all still worth it!
Happy Hour!
We love the sushi here and the authentic Japanese entrees. Come during Happy Hour, when sushi is $1 per piece!
