Today:
Inviting and elegant dining a short walk from Zionsville's historic brick Main St. The bar was recently refreshed with soothing colors and dangling lamps.
Noah Grants rocks. We went to dinner there last night and had an excellent meal. It is located where Brix used to be, in downtown Zionsville.
Atmosphere: They have really spruced up the place, keeping the best parts, including the gorgeous granite bar with the interesting water background and improved the layout of the space.
Food: We started with a tuna and salmon tartar neopolitan. It is a very unique take with delicious elements. The first layer consists of raw, chopped black pearl salmon, then a layer of ripe avocado and topped with raw tuna. There was even a raw egg in a little cone if you were inclined to really go the tartar route (not me, raw eggs freak me out). It was a lovely dish, with very fresh fish, presented beautifully, with crisp wontons. For my entree I had prime rib, that was seasoned perfectly and cooked precisely to my liking. My husband ordered sushi, including a bowl of chirashi as well as a tempura fried spicy tuna roll. The chirashi was a pared down interpretation, complete with tuna and salmon and Japanese veggies. It wasn't like the version you would expect at Sakura, but high quality nonetheless.
Wine and Beer: Great bar with attentive service. I ordered a bottle of sparkling shiraz, which is very hard to find. There is a full bar.
Overall: I would highly recommend this restaurant. It seems very polished and professional, especially considering it has only been open a week. The food was high quality, the atmosphere cozy, and there seemed to be unique touches everywhere.
Well - it was so worth the wait!!!!!! One of my favorite dining experiences was Brix Bistro in Zionsvile. We have met so many great freinds there for dinner and most times never disappointed. Recently we went to Brix and found they had closed. My wife and I were heartbroken.
On this past Tuesday we went out to celebrate my Birthday and we passed Brix which is now Noah Grants Grill and Raw Bar. With a change in our plans we decided to venture into the old Brix. We we walked into what was nothing short of an EXTREME MAKEOVER! We immediately went to the Bar to get a glass fo wine (by the way almost 80 wines were listed) We were pleased to see the bartender Scott had remined. At once our fears were eased and Scott explained the changes and from the smile on his face you could see everything was going to be great! and it was....
Needless to say we sat at the bar for dinner (as we do often). From strart to finsh from Sushi to the Angus Filet with the Mac and Cheese its a HIT with us!
My freinds jump off of mainstreet because this is the place to be in Zionsville for GREAT FOOD!!!!!!
WOW!
In a word..WOW! The old Brix restaurant has been remodeled, revamped, and turned into a beautiful raw bar/steakhouse. I was taken aback when I walked into what I thought was still Brix. The place is gorgeous! The menu is full of choices, including everything from pasta to sushi to steaks and chops. We had sushi to start, followed by the house salad. For dinner we had a mozzarella stuffed chicken dish and a lamb chop. Everything was wonderful! The service was both personal as well as knowledgeable about the offerings (not to hard on the eyes either!). If in the Zionsville area I would highly recommend this place.
