Giving it a Second Chance

I love the chic atmosphere off of College Ave. I feel like I'm in a neat bohemian enclave, well it is. The patio seating is great. The service is mediocre. What I initially ordered, their version of granola and fruit, was unavailable. I ordered the crab-cake and it was lackluster. However, if you're into delicious spuds, this is the place. I'll try it again but no time soon.

Hog Eye Navvy.

This place use to be really fun when Hog Eye Navvy played on Saturday nights. I think they might be coming back. But when they do the place is busy. But thats ok! Its good. Try it out!

good food, inconsistant service

It seems like every time I've come to the Aristocrat, we have a new server. I don't know if its a place with a lot of turnover or whatever, but it just seems odd. And when a server is new, you expect a couple of mess-ups...

The first time we went we had pretty bad service, our food was ordered incorrectly and we didn't get everything that was supposed to come with our entrees. The server didn't get our drinks out for about 15 minutes and never checked back for refills (and of course he was new). Other times the service has been mediocre at best, but never as bad as our first visit.

We are always pleased with the food though. And its one of my favorite places to eat when its warm because of the patio and the location. And of course it has some pretty great beers.

Maybe the Best Time to Go...

I can't say that I've visited the Aristocrat any other time than brunch. That said, I've always enjoyed it. The Sunday Bruch rocks... lots of variety, and the Huevos Rancheros are always consistently tasty. I've never had any service issues there, but, perhaps the staffing situation is different during the day than during the evening?

Love their Brunch!

I have only gone to Aristocrat during their Sunday brunch, which seemed to consist of excellent mimosas and always like to sit out on the front patio in the summertime. I have enjoyed my time there and have always had good service. I would go back again, as soon as I can find a free Sunday!!

I have been several times

I will say the service is inconsistent, but my food has always been decent. Brunch is the best time to go.

It's decent

I was raised on fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food. The Aristocrat has a few things on the menu that I like, but they are nothing to write home about.
