Gallagher's II

2310 W. Southport Road, Indianapolis, IN, 46217

On the Southwestside of town are several pubs that offer billiards and the other usual options, but few offer wide open spaces that won't leave your party cramped. Not so at Gallagher's II. The two-story facility is a popular location -- especially on Friday nights when the dinner crowd turns brew-happy and orders bottle after bottle of American beer. With an average crowd in its 30s, you won't find the college-age kids hanging out, so it's a good option if you want to avoid frat-boy antics.

Worst pizza ever

A friend recommended this place to us and we will NEVER go back. It was dirty and dark inside, not to mention the pizza was terrible - I've had better at Little Caesar's. The paper plates they give you to eat off of are small dessert plates, obviously bought at the dollar store, as they were a mixture of winnie the pooh and spongebob. The breadsticks were doughy and not even baked thoroughly. This place is terrible.

Like pizza with everything? Try the Sink!

This is in response to the person that said this was the "Worst pizza ever": I've been getting pizza from Gallagher's II since they opened (I live right by there) and have never had a bad pizza or even a marginal pizza. Also, I work down the street from Gallagher's and they sell a lot of pizzas to the employees at my company. I have never heard anyone say anything about the pizza except that it's one of the best in town! If you like a loaded pizza try The Sink - it has everything including about a dozen meats and lots of veggies - it even has pineapple, but not too much. You will never want to order a combo or deluxe pizza from anyplace else (expecially from any of the nasty chain pizza establishments!) So, I would have to say that I'm really disappointed that someone new tried Gallagher's once and had such bad pizza.
As far as the inside of Gallagher's, well....it's not my favorite bar. It could use some atmosphere and a good cleaning - especially the women's room.
But, their pizza and other menu items are great and the waitstaff has always been nice and attentive.
