Today:
"No Family Dining" reads the door of Bobby Joe's Beef and Brew. Family friendly bar and grills are fantastic, really, but some days you need a beer and burger with the works, hold the screaming kids, crayons and servers in wacky hats singing happy birthday. The late celebrated Indianapolis sportswriter Bob Collins opened Beef & Brew with his wife, and the walls are covered with memorabilia that tell the story of his travels and career. Offerings like gumbo and Crab-Stuffed Talapia dot the menu and the burgers rank among the best in town. Stop in for the IU game and a huge dessert, or savor a meal on the deck.
I have been there numerous times and the food and service is always great! I LOVE the fact that there are no screaming kids.
Great food and atmosphere! Haven't taken advantage of the brew part of the establishment yet.
I have also been there several times and everytime I order something differant I have NOT yet found anything that was not cook just right. The atmosphere is great and very relaxing ,on our last visit our waitress I belive to be called Jennifer was a delightful person with a smile to go with it. ( Try the new york strip & Top Shelf Margarita)can"t go wrong.
The food was terrific
I hear what everyone above me put about some of the staff...but the food was outstanding when my boyfriend and I went. Our waitress was helpful and kind when we went, but I do remember the person at the door being not so friendly. I would go back again purely b/c I enjoyed the food so much. :-D
