The Mineshaft Saloon is a favorite of those searching for a laid-back vibe. The music style swings from punk to alternative rock to hip-hop and R&B, and $1 Newcastle drafts on Thursday nights turn this place into the Mos Eisley Cantina.
It's pretty much the only free dance spot on weekends, but it's pretty small. You can almost touch both walls, so it gets pretty packed and the dance floor is small. But the drinks are decent priced and the waitresses always seem nice. They actually play decent music in there, every once in a while you can hear some Daft Punk blended into Madonna.
