The beating heart of Irvington sits 30 feet south of Washington St., the Eastside's main artery. A cozy shop with ample outdoor seating, locals come here to dish dirt.

This is what a coffee shop is all about. Starbucks is a chain, this place is a coffee shop. Lots of cool local art, local music, just very warm inside. And when it's warm outside there is a nice big deck to hang out on. Two thumbs up!
I'm an east-sider, and Lazy Daze is one of the places that makes living in Irvington so awesome. Starbucks is now only a block or two down the road, and I would never even consider going there now. Can't wait till it's warmer outside so I can sit out on the deck. The scones are really good as well.
I used to work in the area and still travel and shop in the area and love the nature that this true coffee house upholds. Local art on the walls, local staff that built it up from the begining. Let the mindless coffee monkeys to down the street. I will shop locally go to a true coffee house and not a chain.

Lots better than Star*ks. I enjoyed the cupcake lattes, which are probably a seasonal thing. Bakelava latte was excellent! Love the butter pecan syrup. :) One of the only coffee shops around that offer poetry readings and live music. Just wish they were open later.
