Hiding behind the Eli Lily Co. campus on South College, Milano Inn is a holdover from a time when Italian immigrants dominated Fletcher Place and surrounding 'hoods. The restaurant hosts a mystery theater troupe, but its continued success is alimentary, my dear Watson -- relaxed repast in a historic location.
I thought the Milano Inn was decent. The atmosphere was pretty old school (which I liked) and there was certainly a good crowd there. The food was good, but not great. I would go to Matteo's, Mama Carolla's, or Capri before I would go back here, but if someone else was buying I wouldn't be opposed to going back.
My family has gone to the Milano Inn since well before I was born. The lasagna is delicious, the wine selection is good, and the cannoli are the best in the city. I love the atmosphere of the historic building, and the sun room has a great view of downtown. All in all, one of my favorite dining options in Indy.

The atmosphere is very dark and quiet which is a plus. They have the best salad i have ever ate and the food is pretty good too.
