Great Brew!

There's not much better than sitting outside in the Biergarten in the fall or spring (or summer) with a cold beer listening to the Polka Boys. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends and just chill.

Cold Beer, Hot Mustard

I can only go so long without returning here, if only for a pilsner of cold Warsteiner and an order of pretzels served with that oh-so-sinus-searing hot mustard! I love the Biergarten, but the Kellerbar's cozy too. It's a fun place to hang out in the winter and escape the cold and gloom outside. Plus, if there's a wedding going on in the banquet room next door, you might get the added bonus of some great people-watching as the guests come and go...

"Have a sausage party in the dining room"

"Have a sausage party in the dining room" - I might be way off base here but that just struck me as really really wrong and very funny :-) Perhaps I've been hanging out with too many young people in bars.

The Biergarten is one of Indy's best attractions. It's even better when Polka Boy is playing. The put on an incredibly entertaining show.

The "Hot Wurst Plate" is tasty and as someone else mentioned the mustard is as good as it gets. I love German mustard. mmmm.

The "Frikadelle" might be the most confusing item I've ever ingested. I couldn't figure out what I was eating. Don't get me wrong, it was good. It just had the texture of a brat with the shape of a burger. Very odd, and a little too hot dog like for me.

German beers abound, and If I happen to pick one that's a little less bitter than the others I'm super happy.

S'good!

great place for a pre-show drinks/dinner

My friend and I stopped in last night for a drink and appetizers before a show at the American Cabaret Theatre. I tried a new beer, Rathskeller Razz, it was tart and COLD - perfect! For appetizers we had stuffed mushrooms (delicious) and a pretzel with spicy mustard. No trip to Rathskeller is complete without one!

Love it!

Nothing beats the Rathskeller during the warmer months of the year! The beergarden is one of my favorite places in Indy.

Great (huge) beers, live music, yummy food. I love the mix of people as well, you meet all types here. This is a great place to go before seeing a show at the Murat as well.

Being outside is the best!

You can beat hanging out with friends, having some food and drinks, listening to good music, sitting outside, looking at a view of downtown....ahhhhh it doesn't get much better. Oh wait, the chicken cordon bleu fingers....they are to die for!!!!

The place is pretty pricey so don't go here if you are on a budget.
