Irvington's Hacienda focuses on food, not frills

On the edge of the Irvington neighborhood, tucked far back in a seen-better-days strip mall, sits one of my favorite joints for tasty Mexican food. ...

Best for the price!

Get the Pollio Racharo (please pardon my Spanish). Great deal tons of food. And a side of Queso to cut the salsa at the top. Not fancy but kicks Taco Bell in the Bell-ut.

EWWWW

i have not eaten at LA HACIENDA in irvington for a few years. that last time we were there, we witnessed not one, two, or three, but maybe five or six cockroaches, crawling on walls, across the floor, going into the bar area, and into the kitchen. when we informed the manager, he became very irate with us, and said HE did not see any. (the waiter had squished one on the floor right in front of the kitchen, it was right there for the manager to see!) we were treated very rudely, and were not even offered a free dinner, drink, anything.(not that we cared, as we wanted to get out of there ASAP!) we were very quiet, as we did not want to cause a scene, either, but i did call the board of health, and the place was never even shut down, not even for a day! this used to be my favorite restaurant, too. i would starve to death before i ever eat there again. filthy. imagine how many roaches were in the kitchen if so many were out in the dining area? yuck!

Great chips and margaritas

I like this place, its hard to order and figure your order if your with a huge party cause they dont speak the best english, but give it a chance anyways. I would have to say that they have great chips and salsa and their strong point are their massive orders of alchoholic beverages. I would recommend this place to people who wanna have a nice birthday bash for a nice price. You can have a great time at LaHa's And dont let the area scare you, yes the strip mall has seen its better days, but you know its still a good place. Not only that its right by the movie theater that is cheap as well, so you can make a whole night of it.
