Almost as bad as food poisening

I coulnd believe how bad it was. My meal wasnt even cooked and didnt notice till a couple bites down then it occured to me taht it souldnt be cold in teh middle. It was horrible. The manager thought I was being unreasonable as well. I Would not recomend it and wont be going back any time.

Not the greatest of experiences

We went into Don Pablo's on the south side this past weekend with a large group. We were happy to get in there, because the crazy small On the Border near Greenwood Park Mall had a 1 1/2 hour wait. In the end I almost wish we'd waited.

We were seated promptly enough. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos (the new special). It wasn't bad but a similar dish at OtB is leagues better.

And our service wasn't much to write home about either. I got a drink (a mojito), and it was great, but I finished it and went about 15 minutes with no drink. I'm usually fine with this, especially with a large group, but it's what happened next that kind of irked me.

Toward the end of the meal my son knocked a drink on my wife's lap as the waitress was stopping by to start dividing up the check. So my wife is sitting there with margarita on her lap and asks the waitress for some napkins. Her response? "Sure, I can do that...did you have the queso?" She then proceeded to ask our group five or six more bill-related questions, and left. SHE NEVER BROUGHT THE NAPKINS. My wife ended up getting up and getting them herself.

We used to frequent the DP on E. Washington St., but we've migrated to OtB for a lot of our chain Mexican fare lately. We'll probably just go back there.

Good Food, Bad Smell

I love to eat at this place. They have awesome Tex Mex food. The only complaints is that this place is usually crowded and it will take 2 washes of your clothes to get the awful smell out. Nothing more attractive than taking your date out to dinner and then her smelling like a 3 week old chimichanga.
