The Slippery Noodle Inn is on a mission from God -- to provide a haven for them what gots the blues and serve a delicious menu to needy Downtown patrons. Housed in a former safe-house on the Underground Railroad, the Slippery Noodle is the oldest bar in Indiana. Bluesmen from across the land take the stage most nights of the week, and lunchtime at the Noodle is jumpin' like a preacher on Sunday.

Excellent live music and atmosphere. Ok food.

You go to the Noodle for the blues. There's no if's, and's, or but's.

They really do book some of the best blues artist out there and it's a great venue to swallow a pint while listening to the music and reflection on how incredibly miserable life can be from time to time. This is the blues after all.

The main stage area is pretty well setup and there's a nice wrap around balcony if you prefer to get outa some of the hustle and bustle of the ground floor.

The food ain't bad, the tenderloins are actually very good. They seem to specialize in American bar food so if that's what you're looking for you'll be dandy.

There's an arcade area and a front bar that's free of musical interruption if you prefer to be social in a quieter setting. The Slippery Noodle's a well known Indiana institution and there's a good reason for that.

It is as the previous reviewer said, pretty old school.

Always something good live

Ive been to this par a few times and its always a good time. They have 3 different areas and its all fun. The stage in the back is where you find lots of good blues bands and its pretty inexpensive. The food is ok, not the best, but its a bar. I havent tried their lunch though, so that may be different. Everyone should see some good bands here and its pretty central to lots of parking and other bars.

This place is fantastic!

This is the one music venue in town in which I have never heard music I didn't love. The atmosphere is awesome and they added on a few years ago to give several different moods to the place that were previously missing. I just wish there wasn't a cover charge so often.
