D'Vine A Wine Bar moved in August into a bigger, more glamorous space (the one recently vacated by Cibo, and before that, Vizion), but it ...
I make no secret that D'Vine is my absolute favorite bar in Indy.
The little I know about wines I learned from smart, friendly staffers Tony and Barry, who always have a little something new and lovely to try.
On top of that, the spot offers some of the best live music in the city. If you're an aging hippie--like me (sigh)-- a combination of fab Pino and great, live, local guitar rock and roll can't be beat on a weekend night out.
If all of that isn't enough, cool manager Tony is a music trivia aficionado, and lots of fun to try and stump.
Thankfully, my sweet brother and his cool wife gave me a D'Vine gift certificate for my birthday (see above comment about aging), and I'll be heading over for a few glasses of (free) vino quite soon.
I think this place is just so-so. It's not over the top great. The best night to go is Wenesday for half price martini night. The decor is great and the new space is really great! But it just doesn't do it for me! I have no idea what it needs, and it might just be me. But it just is so so. So make sure you go on Wenesday and drnk half price martinis!
If Nikki Blaine's is #1 in Indianapolis, then D'Vine is 1A. Granted, you have enjoy good wine or martinis to go here, but that encompasses about 85% of the people that read this site. Great atmosphere, very good service, excellent tapas-type food. Tough to beat D'Vine.
D'Vine is such a great place to go and unwind. The staff always does a great job of recomending wine for everyone, no matter what their background or interest may be. You always find something new and exciting! I look forward to seeing you at the WFYI Indy Wine Fest this weekend!
With 1/2 priced martinis on Thursdays and delish appetizers, why make it home after work before a few? Great atmosphere, can be a bit smoky... night I went had an awesome DJ spinning. Definitely going again!
Great food and drinks
The perfect place to hang out with a group of friends. The tapas are delicious and they have a great wine/martini list. Thursday's are 1/2 price martini's so you can have a few drinks and a few laughs and not end up spending an arm and a leg.
