A Carnivorous Delight

This new addition to Indy's collection of meat-centric eateries truly satisfies. From the rum caipirinas to the luscious salad bar, the preambles are more than pleasant, however the true delight is the restaurant's team of gauchos and their parade of skewered meat served up on demand. Try a little of all the entrees and then ask for more, but don't forget to save room for the fried polenta, warm bananas and garlic mashed potato side dishes. If you can still breath at the end of your meal, be sure to try the papaya-blended ice-cream dessert. Its smooth flavor and light consistency make it a perfect end to this satiating meal.

Everyone in our dinner party agreed, Fogo de Chao is definitely a dining experience.

Truly Delightful

All thumbs way up! No surprise that the food and drinks were fantastic. I've enjoyed Fogo in two other cities, and the new Indianapolis location does not disappoint. However my big rave is the service! I never sat down without my chair being pulled out for me. The second my card was turned to green, I was surrounded with swords of meat. Even a tiny suggestion was immediately implemented by the staff. Serious kudos for customer service; my visit was a truly delightful.

Its About Time... And Well Worth the Wait.

Finally a real Brazilian restaurant in the Circle City... The service was second to none.. The food absolutely excellent.. and the ambiance was the icing on the cake.. After visiting Fogo De Chao in larger cities and being completely impressed the one here in Indy was the best yet.. A very eager and polite staff all working together to make your dining experience like none other... I highly recommend this restaurant.. The experience alone is worth the trip.. And like I said the food, service and ambiance made me feel like a celebrity.. I highly recommend them to anyone who loves fine dining across the board..

Fogo de Chao

"Finally a real Brazilian restaurant in the Circle City..."

No offense to the reviewer or Fogo De Chao, but Brazilian Grill beat them to the punch in this market by about a year. It's nice to see our town support adventurous eats!

Meat lover or not, a must!

I've been to Fogo before in other cities, and eagerly anticipated the opening here in Indy.

First off, the room is gorgeous. I'm not sure there is a better done dining room in Indianapolis.

Second, most other restaurateurs should attend this clinic of how table service should be. It's absolutely the best, and the restaurant has only been open a few weeks. My guess is that Fogo corporate brought in some "stars" from elsewhere in the chain to get the new location started. However they did it, though, the result is service that is amazingly over the top. The only negative is that you have to look both ways before leaving your chair, lest you be run over by briskly walking waiters bearing skewers of meat!

The food, as at other Fogos, is excellent. While a carnivore's delight, the best deal might be the salad bar option, which is still a feast, and half the regular price. Still, it's hard to go to Fogo and not partake of the fabulous meat courses.

All in all, a fantastic experience only diminished by the over-satiety resulting from the inability of this diner to flash the red disc earlier...

Carnivorous carnival of delights

Fogo is for sure a unique experience. This is a palace for any diner's palette.

This was first Brazilian dining experience for the entire party that attended, and no one walked away disappointed. Matter of fact it was hard for any of us to walk after eating all the delicious meats, vegetables and sides that was readily available. "Readily available" is the only way to describe the experience when a "Goucho Chef" notices that you have "gone green". Your table will soon be joined by many chefs asking you which cut of meat you would like and at what prepared state you will like eat that fresh tender piece of quality meat. Being that my fiance is a vegetarian (which pretty much makes me a vegetarian) I don't get to indulge like I did this evening. I couldn't stop.

The waiting staff is excellent as well. There was never a moment that I went thirsty (water or beer) without a waiter asking me if there was something that they could get for me. They truly work as a "team", and are very responsive to your every need.

No matter how you want to say, put or score it. This is the best carnivorous carnival your palette will ever endure!

If you leave hungry from this place then it's your own fault

You have food coming out of your eyeballs when you leave. Yikes!!! The drink with all the limes in it is deadly! My gosh, there is so much food, it's crazy! The salad bar is insane, then they bring you several side dishes, and the endless amounts of meat is surely going to give you some kind of ailment later in life. There was meat swarming around my head like bees. You didn't even need to flip that card to green! If you saw something you liked, they saw you drooling over it and offered you some. It was my birthday so I received a free dessert that was AMAZING, wow! And they wrote Happy Birthday on they plate. Sweet! My only complaint about the place was that it felt really cramped. There was a lot of open space off to one side and I felt like they could've spread the tables out a little bit and made it a little more intimate. I don't like having dinner with strangers. And then you had all those guys trying to squeeze between all the tables trying to serve you all night. It just felt a little uncomfortable to me.

Mmmmm...meat

I went with the family recently and the evening was wonderful. I was pleasantly lulled into a meat-induced coma of which I can only dream about until my next visit. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxed yet upscale. The main dilemma for my next visit will be whether or not to skip the salad bar before sampling the numerous offerings of meat. Normally I wouldn't even have to think about brushing off the salad bar, but they do it differntly at FdC. My favorite were the fresh olives and some kind of pickled pepper that was fairly sweet and a little spicy. Don't pass up the house specialy drink, which has a name I can neither remember nor pronounce.
