Today:
Upscale family dining and bar in the venerated former home of the 19th century Dodd's Townhouse overlooking Alice Carter Park.
We had brunch yesterday (Easter) and it was great -- I had the huevos and my fiance had the tuna nicoise. Fancy brunch/lunch food, but we like to try new things. Even though they didn't have a special Easter brunch buffet, we felt that it was a great choice for the occasion. We also had some great apple slices, DEEP fried, with a tasty dipping sauce.
Our first clue that Meridian Restaurant & Bar caters to a tony crowd was the sea of shiny, gargantuan SUVs in the parking lot when ...
I have enjoyed dining here on three occasions with excellent food and service! Please bring plenty of plastic and you might have trouble finding a parking spot. The valets will take your car over to the bank parking lot which is somewhat questionable at night. Remember that this was the old Dodd's House - time marches on!!!!!!
Fantastic!!!!!
My friends & I had dinner over the past weekend & I couldn't have asked for a more carefully prepared or flavorful dinner. Chef Dunville has created a menu that stays true to our region, but at the same time is extremely interesting. The New York Strip with Chimichurri was so tender there was no need for a knife & the Barramundi with Chili-Lime broth was truly outstanding!!! And don't miss the Doughnuts and Coffee for dessert. As a matter of fact, don't miss Meridian!
