Turns out that heaven for burger lovers is a festive, brightly colored bar and grill. Not so high-energy as to be grating but not the place for intimate dinners, Red Robin is best suited to groups looking to get their grub on.

Red Robin

Wow - I had no idea they had moved back into Indy!!! Guess no one recalls there was a restaurant in Castleton mall years ago that closed---I now live in the south and still enjoy going there for something different...the burgers are not something I would make at home. Always have had very juicy/messy sandwiches, enough fries to not have to ask for a refill...(even though my servers always ask if we need more!), get to sign up for a free burger/meal on your b.day and they also give you a free sundae, and for my vegetarian child a very good veggie burger that she loves - can't really complain about this one at all. Oh, and the sesoning on the fries is pretty tasty too!

Decent but pricey

They have some good burgers, but I a bit on the pricey side for a steakhouse burger. I've been to two of their new locations in the Indy area so far. Took my parents and my mom actually got a shrimp dish, which was the first non-burger meal anyone I've been with has ever ordered. She said it was good. What she really loved were their bottomless fruit smoothies. They have a deal where you can keep getting refills when you order one for free, and every refill can be a different type. Too bad that doesn't work on the ones with alcohol in them.

Pretty Good

I went to the Red Robin at Clay Terrace in Carmel this weekend, and it was packed full of people. First off I was surprised how many kids were in this place. I mean this place was like McDonalds on steroids. Glasses were breaking every five minutes, and it was just insane.

The burgers were great, and pretty inventive. The onion rings are served in a huge pyramid which was pretting cool. The freckled lemonade was really good with huge hunks of strawberry mixed throughout.

One issue I'd like to note, they had the hot dog eating contest from coney island playing on tv's throughout the restaurant while I was there. I tried not to watch, but my eyes kept traveling to the screen. Anyway, more than a few people got really grossed out, and complained to the already overwhelmed dining staff. It made things a little crazier in an already volatile atmosphere.

All in all, a good burger, good lemonade, and good onion rings a bit pricey. Not a relaxing sit down meal, take your kids and they apparently will have a ball.

Don't waste your money!

We visited Red Robin in Westfield to celebrate one of the kid's achievements - what a disappointment!

We were seated at our table - water all over my chair!

The fries - way uncooked! I would give them a zero out of 10.

The $3.99 lemonade may be good, but you do not get the fancy glass that the feature on their menu.

And yes, the place is way loud! Try to sit outside if you wish to hear anything said across the table. There was a birthday party for at least 10 kids at the adjacent table.

I would spend my money elsewhere.
