The simple, lunch counter atmosphere keeps all the focus on the simple, lunch counter food. The menu is bare bones and the burgers are anything but fancy but everything they should be. Fresh, hot, delicious. Leave a comment on the bulletin board before you leave.
Not being able to cook a hamburger to order is a big minus. Perhaps the cook was having a bad day; other places can cook a burger through without burning it into a crisp. Being told that it is a requirement of law to cook it that way only adds insult.

This place is awesome. No frills, no froo-froo side dishes, no 'gourmet' burgers. Just the basics, and that's what makes 'em good. They do one thing, and they do it well. There are plenty of place to go if you want all the frills and extras. Me?? I'm a meat and potatoes kinda guy, and nothing beats a burger and some fries. I'd rather pay a little more than McD's or the other fast-food joints and get the quality and freshness that you find at 5 Guys. Aarrggghh....mouth watering now, time to make a burger run!!!
Great Boogers!
Nothing fancy at this place except for the quality of the hamburgers and fries that they serve! This place beats-out any other burger joint or even fine dining establishments. Walk in and walk up to the counter, place your order and a few minutes later you are served a huge burger and a gargantuan order of fresh cut fries. Nothing fancy about their toppings either except they are perfect - crisp lettuce, fresh tomato slices, gooey melted cheese, crisp cooked bacon, etc. And, FRESH jalapeno slices - not the pickled soggy kind (I was really impressed with the fresh jalapeno slices!)
