The mermaid beckons, a beacon in the early morning light. All locations look the same so it's up to the friendly and strangely over-chipper staff make each place a unique venue to work on that latest novel or just chat with friends.

Quad-Iced-Venti-Nonfat-3 Equals-Latte

Quad-Iced-Venti-Nonfat-3 Equals-Latte If you haven't tried this drink you haven't lived. All the caffeine and coffee goodness and very few calories. I worked at a starbucks for 7 months and have tried the gamut of beverages and have reverted to the classic. If you want it a little more tasty also ask for it to be ristretto. But expect there to be spit in it because you already had 10 modifiers! Another must-try is the "Dirty Chai" It's a Chai Latte with shots of esspresso. Another fun one is the Earl Grey Latte. Have them steep your tea bags in steamed milk of choice and then add a couple pumps of vanilla. Supposedly it's huge on the west coast. It's pretty good, especially on a cold dreary day.

Decent Mocha Frappuccino

I know I spelled that one incorrectly, hence my need of spell check and being to lazy to hit fn f12 to type it into my dictionary on my mac... but I digress

In search of my perfect mocha frapp this was the second starbucks in 2 days and I have to say it was the best on I have had so far! (from the SB anyways!)

Starbucks vs. Civet Cat Coffee

Please, do not take this personally, but am I the only person in the coffee-drinking world who thinks that Starbucks coffee is over-roasted, over-hyped, and way over-priced? Over the last couple of years, I've tried to drink just an ordinary(GASP!) cup of coffee, and if nothing else, at least they're consistant.
Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't put two tablespoons of coffee in the coffee maker, but , to me, it just tastes too concentrated, and has a 'burnt' flavor to it. I can only imagine what that digested- bean coffee would taste like. (eeewww!) Course, I wouldn't pay $100. for ANY drink! Kinda makes Starbucks seem like 50-cent machine coffee, doesn't it?
This is way over and beyond paying triple-the-inflation-rate money for it. I guess I'll never understand the 'yuppie' mind-set.
