What a Joint! Wonderful homemade Tamales! They are better than the ones I used to get in Tucson, Az every friday from a little lady. I am not kidding.
Amazing
Awesome tamales - my favorites are the green chile and the chocolate (you read that right!). Get there early -- when they run out, that's it!
It's true, they're that good
We had been told on our blog that we should try this place and, conveniently enough, they had a booth at the Broad Ripple Art Fair. Even in that setting, they made a darn good tamale. We'll be making regular visits to Rockville Rd. now that we know.
Don't forget there tortilla chips
It is no lie, this place makes awesome tamales. I alway liked tamales but, when my wife hooked us up with a bag of tamales from the "Tamale Place" I was in love. The real kicker to this place is, when they run out of tamales they close for the day and that could be any time. They also make there own tortilla chips that are amazing. There fresh salsa and guacamole are also a must. We hit this place about once a month. That reminds me, it's time to go back.
