So many burritos, so little time. La Hacienda drops the hammer on hunger in a festive Central American-inspired atmosphere.
This place serves some decent Mexican food. The reason it's not completely authentic is because their customer base is about 99% "white bread," so they have to incorporate ground beef as one of the main ingredients in the items (note: go to about any Mexican food place in California, for instance, and you will not find ground beef on the menu). Luckily, you can ask for shredded beef, pork, or chicken as an alternative, and they are very cool about it.
My family likes this place a lot but I'm not big on "traditional" Mexican food. If you ask me Qdoba makes it like it should be.
I agree with above. Im not sure about authentic, but the food is damn good. and there are so many food choices that its hard to find something you dont like. The price i thought was very fair. I always tell people to eat there.
My favorite are the Chicken Nachos and the Texas Margueritas....I found it a little congested at times but overall the service was quick and the food is good..the Margueritas are real real real good...not that I'm a lush but maaaaaannnnn you have to be careful if you are driving... :)
The price is reasonable and I usually get it to go now because I don't live far from there and it's better than waiting for awhile....
Irvington's Hacienda focuses on food, not frills
On the edge of the Irvington neighborhood, tucked far back in a seen-better-days strip mall, sits one of my favorite joints for tasty Mexican food. ...
