Today:
Designed like the a Mexican ranch estate, Cancun keeps it real: real good.
The service here was really, really, really good. Polite, fast, and thorough. I ordered from the specials for the day, a 32-oz Dox XX amber draft for $4.75 and the Burrito Sonora for $7.25. The beer was cold, the large burrito was filled with perfectly seasoned beef and accompanied by some incredible beans. The facility was clean and attractive. It may not be the best Tex-Mex I've had, but especially considering the price it was definitely a good value. I won't hesitate to go back again.
How terribly high the prices were!
I ordered a bowl of cheese dip, which was served in a small bowl and was charged 7.95.
I also ordered a chicken and cheese only taco for my son and was charged 3.95!
My chicken chimichanga was 8.95.
I was pleased with the chimi, but the cheese that was served as a small size and charged as a large..come on. And the taco! Good grief.
Don't even try to argue with the pricing either...
They didn't understand me at all. Refused to change prices. Said that is what I ordered and those were the prices. I was not allowed to look at a menu to look at menu prices.
I would never have gone there if I knew I would be spending 30 dollars on a chimichanga, taco and cheese dip.
Be warned. Food taste was great, service mediocre, prices...take a kidney now for payment!
Mexican food in Brownsburg
Insanely delicious and extremely affordable Mexican dining comes to the north side of Brownsburg. Located at the former site of Acapulco Joe's and La Charreada, Cancun is here to stay. The staff is friendly and attentive and the daily specials can't be beat. Affordable drink prices add to the allure.
Edit: For some reason this place has gone downhill. The last few times I dined there the food was decent at best. They still have great prices on daily drink specials, but I would recommend Los Toros in Brownsburg over Cancun. If the quality of food gets back to old standards I will update this review again, in the meantime the honor of Brownsburg's best Mexican restaurant goes to Los Toros (not to be confused with El Toro).
