I don't know what Laura99 is talking about 96th Street Steakburgers is awesome. You can get a great meal for like $6. Hamburgers are really good and the fries are great. I like it.
the only similarity to steak n shake is the word steak in the title
best burger in town and tastes nothing like steak n shake. i love steak n shakes burger but this is completely different and completely delicious and almost identical to In N Out Burger.

laura99in is nuts!! 96th Street Steakburgers is the greatest. We may not get In N Out but at least someone came up with this gem.
One of the Better Burgers In Town
I'll have to digress from the above reviews a little bit. Definitely more like Steak n Shake than In n Out. But we like it a lot, the carnivores in the family always want to go here when we're in Plainfield. Plus it's locally owned, which absolutely bumps it up a notch on my favorites list.

Too greasy
I really want to like this place. It tastes a lot like Steak n Shake to me, which I love. But, this place is so greasy. My stomach can't handle grease so I always get sick when I eat here. If I'm with someone and they want to eat here I'll go but I won't suggest it.
