Augustino's (8028 S. Emerson Ave., Indianapolis, IN)4
I had an excellent lunch there today with a friend of mine. I had the BEEF toasted ravoili, which is EXTREMELY hard to find outside of St. Louis. It was almost as good as it there. My friend had the Picasso, which was a cheesy, chicken pasta dish that he really enjoyed.
Total with two sodas was $19. I’ll definitely be going back.

Ichiban Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar (8265 U.S. 31 South, Indianapolis, IN)5
Great sushi rolls!

Papa Roux (8950 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN)12
I really enjoyed this place and the kid waiter is absolutely the best. The food was good, but MAN they close early.

Best Bet Breakfast & Lunch (14300 Mundy Drive, Noblesville, IN)4
This place is good. I was glad to have a good new breakfast option in Noblesville that’s priced reasonably. I’m not going to say it’s the BEST breakfast place in town, but it’s solid. I’ll definitely go back.

Naked Tchopstix (6253 N. College Ave., Indianapolis, IN)16
The Playboy Roll and the Corona Roll are both phoenominal…

Pipers Cafe & Grand Manor (2130 W. Southport Road, Indianapolis, IN)4
I live in Hamilton County, but when I am on the southside (which is at least once a week), I make it a point to come to Pipers.
The food is fantastic, the ambiance is nice, and the staff is outstanding. Every member of the Osgood family works here, so you’re likely to meet one, two, or every member of the family on any given visit. I have had chicken, beef, and seafood here, all of which were excellent.
This is, without question, the best kept secret in Indianapolis. If you see a lot of cars there, don’t let that stop you from going in. They often have large events that they cater there that fill a majority of the parking lot. The restaurant side is fairly easy to find a seat in (even on the weekend nights)…for now anyway. Get in and enjoy before everyone else does.

Roscoe's Tacos (7565 E. U.S. 36, Avon, IN)3
The Paul Bunyan taco is the best in town.
-
Anvil Inn (29 E. Jackson St., Cicero, IN)2
I went here once several years ago and it was fair at best. Now, it’s one of the best places in Hamilton County,

India Sizzling (11301 Village Square Lane, Fishers, IN)8
…of Indian food, but this place was quite good. I sampled many of the items as we were with an Indian friend of mine and his family. They too agreed that it was the best Indian restaurant in Indy. This place is relatively new and they’re still working on the service, but it’s definitely worth a try.

Milano Inn (231 S. College Ave., Indianapolis, IN)
I thought the Milano Inn was decent. The atmosphere was pretty old school (which I liked) and there was certainly a good crowd there. The food was good, but not great. I would go to Matteo’s, Mama Carolla’s, or Capri before I would go back here, but if someone else was buying I wouldn’t be opposed to going back.

Matteo's Ristorante Italiano (40 N. Ninth St., Noblesville, IN)3
…in Indy. Great people, great food. I’ve eaten here well over a dozen times and it never disappoints. The gorgonzola filet (a filet surrounded by gorgonzola cheese inside a puff pastry) is my single favorite dish anywhere.

Marco's Restaurant and Lounge (2380 E. 54th St., Indianapolis, IN)7
Marcos is a decent place with a very diverse crowd. I’ve eaten there several times. It’s not a place I actively seek out if I’m choosing the restaurant, but I have a friend or two that love it, and I’m not opposed to eating there.

L'Explorateur (6523 Ferguson Ave., Indianapolis, IN)3
…restaurant in town. If you’re looking for something that’s truly different, this place is perfect. Went there on a snowy weeknight when it wasn’t very crowded and tried about half of the menu. Small portions, many of which involve seafood. I tried things I never thought I would try…and lots of them. I will DEFINITELY be back and HIGHLY recommend for anyone that’s in the mood for something other than steak/Mexican/Italian, etc.
-
Mudsocks Grill (14741 Hazel Dell Crossing, Suite 1000, Noblesville, IN)5
I would call Mudsocks an upper-scale Fox and Hound (without the smoke). I have been here 20+ times since they opened in July, and it’s without question one of my favorite spots in Indy. If you live in the Carmel/Noblesville/Westfield area, you need to check this place out. I highly recommend the burgers, which are some of the best you will have. Some other favorites are the pork nachos, the hotzarella sticks (pepper jack cheese sticks…awesome), and the mac and cheese. While I’ve listed all of the unhealthy items, there are actually a lot of healthy items as well (wide variety of salads, etc).
-
Yats (5363 N. College Ave., Indianapolis, IN)18
Is there anything better? That could be the only thing on their menu and their business wouldn’t suffer tremendously. One of my top 10 favorite dishes in town.

Chatham Tap Pub & Restaurant (719 Massachusetts Ave., Indianapolis, IN)
Went here for lunch. Great food, good atmosphere. Parking is what it is on Mass Ave, but if you can park, check this place out.

Bosphorus (935 S. East St., Indianapolis, IN)13
…based upon this review. I had the lunch special ($8.50). It included an appetizer (I had the hummus…very good) and the chicken kabob (also good). Fantastic, change of pace restaurant. I’ve been to Turkey twice and the food wasn’t this good at any of the places I went there.
-
Nicky Blaine's (20 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN)
Bars come and bars go, but there will never be a bar in Indy cooler than this. When you have guests in town and you want to take them out, take them here. Nicky Blaine’s is legendary. If you don’t know why, you haven’t been there.

Mo's A Place For Steaks (47 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN)6
Best atmosphere, best food, best in town. Period.
