Taste Cafe and Marketplace (5164 N. College Ave., Indianapolis, IN)12
I just wish the Sunday wait was a little less, and there was more seating. LOVE THE FOOD THO!!! My husband loves the cheap and tasty slices of pecan pie and I try and get something different every time I go. I have yet to order something I didn’t like. :)

Boogie Burger (927 E. Westfield Blvd., Indianapolis, IN)16
After visiting Monon Coffee, the baristas told me to check out Boogie for their garlic fries. I headed right over and bought two burgers and some garlic fries. I ended up ordering the regular fries and forgot to ask for the garlic, but the man at the counter let me upgrade no problem. I bought my hot sauce loving husband the Disco Inferno and took it home to him. I didn’t tell him about the peppers and he took a big bite and went running out of the room. :)
AWESOME FOOD! Thanks Boogie.

Abbey Coffee House (825 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN)16
I really enjoy the Abbey’s menu. Everything I have tried there has been great. My favorite is the Buffallo Veggie Sandwich and their lattes. I also like the bohemian atmosphere and the service has always been great.
The problem is, as stated above, that the restauant itself is very dirty. There seems to be a thick coating of dust and dirt on the furniture, floors, windows, etc. I hope that the kitchen isn’t as such. I like the laid back atmosphere…but I also want the place that serves my food to be clean. I wish they would clean this place up so that I could feel comfortable eating there. I’m sure with the opening of the new library, they might have more business.

Strange Brew Coffee Shop (4800 W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, IN)6
I tried Strange Brew yesterday and drove for about 30 minutes from where I live (Southport area) just to get there. I enjoyed a white mocha and a veggie sandwich. Both were excellent and I wish I could have sampled more. I saw that they advertise a 32 oz mocha for $6 ??? Dang. I wish I lived closer to this place, or at least, they would open another closer to downtown.

8 Lucky Buffet (5010 S. East St., Indianapolis, IN)15
Unfortunately, this is the best Chinese food on the southside (from what I have seen). I have been there a lot and have never had trouble with the quality of food. The service was good and, even though we have gone there late around closing time, the chefs asked us to tell them if we needed refills of anything. We’ve gone around new years and they gave us free calendars. :) Bathroom was dirty, although, which makes me wonder.

Lazy Daze Coffee House (10 S. Johnson Ave., Indianapolis, IN)4
Lots better than Star***ks. I enjoyed the cupcake lattes, which are probably a seasonal thing. Bakelava latte was excellent! Love the butter pecan syrup. :) One of the only coffee shops around that offer poetry readings and live music. Just wish they were open later.

Shallo's Restaurant & Brewhouse (8811 Hardegan St., Indianapolis, IN)9
Lots of beer selection. This restaurant has been here for a very long time, but if you don’t know it’s there, you will drive right past without even noticing it.
