Since it opened, we had been loyal customers until now for many reasons. First, the quality of the food and service have dramatically deteriorated. Then, on our second-to-last carry-out order from them, one of the meals was below average and did not have everything in the box. So, we thought it may have been an innocent mistake. We promptly called to let them know, and one of the girls (English speaker) was very apologetic, polite, and offered us the same meal for free the next time. The third and final straw for us was when we ordered carry-out again and asked to redeem the complimentary meal. The assistant manager took the order, was very impolite, rude, and not too happy about having to redeem the complimentary meal. When we took our carry-out order home, the complimentary meal was fine and in order, but the other meal was substandard and inedible. It contained fatty, VERY FATTY pieces of UNDERCOOKED MEAT; and we have no doubts that this was INTENTIONALLY done. (We are familiar with the Asian business culture b/c we ourselves are Asian, and they only care about making as much money with little or no overhead; and they don’t like complaints.) It made us so sick that we, fortunately, saved the leftover pieces of meat, and we are in the process of reporting them to the local OSHA department downtown. DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT if they know you have complaints! This is not a joke. The people who own or have stock in the restaurant seem to be VERY GREEDY and VINDICTIVE. The servers are generally very friendly, so it’s a pity that they work for such greedy bastards.

What can I say the sushi is great, but don’t limit your self. It is hard to judge a restraint on 1 or 2 rolls. The best way to judge a sushi restraint is taking a group of people and order a verity of rolls. This allows everyone to try something different without spending too much money. The price is standard and the decor is ok, but the atmosphere and other customer make the place. If you are looking for people that are outgoing this is your spot.

There are no naked people at Naked Tchopstix in Broad Ripple. Well, at least not on the day we visited; I can’t speak for midnight …

Naked is an accessible place. The menu has a combination of Japanese (sushi and noodles) and Korean dishes. There are some items that seem overpriced but the overall experience is worth it.

Here are my recommendations. Sit in the bar (yet to be named). Get David’s attention! He’s the master of Vibe – takes care of customers, music, lighting and good drinks. Order some edamame to start. If you’re in the mood for noodles – there is udon, jabchae (korean glass noodles) and pad thai with a korean twist. There’s bibimbap and yukae jiang for the recovering drunk or the passionista foodie. Sushi lovers know that the playboy roll and the Corona roll will delight but this is not traditional sushi – its nuvo sushi with an american localization. Don’t forget to indulge in leechi sake (served in a flute) or a mojito or other sake (my fav is the nigori unfiltered).

Get out of the food only paradigm – its stupid frankly – and enjoy an experience – but make sure you end it with some mochi!

Get out of the maki zone by the way – there is nigiri, chirashi and even sashimi on the menu!

Mediocrity at best. Sooo pretentious, somewhat overpriced, especially neglectful service. Nothing special or original on the menu (besides that attention grabbing, flaming roll which looks much better than it tastes), not impressed. If you think this is the best food you’ve ever had, you need to get out more.

My wife and I ate there for the first time and loved it. We did have a couple of issues. The first problem I had was that the food took forever but, I guess you can’t rush a good thing. Secondly, my wife ordered a salad that she never recieved. That was ok because she decided after seeing all the great food that we ordered that a salad would have spoiled the rest of the meal. However, our server made this up to us by offering a free desert that we did not see on the menu. The desert which was an ice cream wrapedor coated in rice flower (I think) that was strange in texture but amazing in taste. We had two flavors, mango and red bean (?) and both were awesome and left us craving more even though we were about to burst. We first tried the Korean Seafood Pancake wanting to try something different and we hit the jackpot. This fried pancake filled with octopus, shrimp, green onion and who knows what else was amazing and the soy sauce based sauce that accompanied it was perfect. For sushi we ordered the Spider Roll, Corona Roll and the Maui Roll. I highley recomend the Corona and the Maui if you are looking for a change but, the Spider Roll was weak compared to others I have eaten at other places around town. To wrap this rambling all up, we can’t wait to go back.

I love this place for one of my favorate sushi rolls ever the Playboy roll. It is not because I think I am a Playboy. It is a great roll. Did I mention that it comes to the table ON FIRE!!!! You give a man a flaming anything and you have sparked is intrest. The actual taste of the roll is great. The sauces and combination of items in the roll make it an intersting roll that I have not seen attempeted anywere else.

I will be back soon with a smile on my face, and a flaming plate of the playboy on it way to my table.

By far the best place to get sushi in town. Recently added space was a huge improvement. They should have tried to work in a better arrangement for a lobby. On a busy night, people are just standing around the tables, waiting for their names to be called, but that’s not too big of a deal to me. Usually good sevrice, except the last time I was in, we had some jacka$$ server who though he was funny, but just wasn’t and he was slow, jacked our bills up and forgot our spring rolls, but he didn’t charge me for one of the four Kirin’s that I had, so I got over it. Needless to say, I’m a big fan no matter how long the meal takes. It’s worth the wait.

Whenever I can afford it there is nothing like a box lunch from Naked Chopstixs. The bulgoki beef – wow. The atmosphere is welcomming and hip. With a cafeteria like setting.

The playboy roll is good. I have not yet tried their sushi because I am hooked on the box lunch. So much food.

enjoy!

This is probably my favorite place in town to get sushi. I recomend the playboy roll and the corona roll.

Only dined there once (all other times carryout) but the service was great!! So was the sake :)

I love Japanese cuisine and sushi so I’m always willing to try new places. The first time I visited Naked Tchopstix, I was pleasantly suprised! The sushi, great! Just keep in mind that if you are in a hurry for food, save this restaurant for when you have the time to savor the fine cuisine at Naked Tchopstix. It’s well worth the patience. Remember, excellent food takes time. Relax and enjoy some sake!

Naked Tchoptix is my favorite place for sushi, and my favorite place to suggest to friends and strangers alike. Kudos to those who’ve already suggested the Playboy roll. It is the best! Mmmm….I’m craving some sushi now!

For those that haven’t been by lately (and I’m one of them), Naked Tchopstix has expanded. On a visit a couple days ago I saw that they’ve taken over the space that used to be next door and made it into a bar area. More tables equals shorter wait. Yay!

My personal tip…sit at the bar and order up a Kirin Light. Order from the sushi menu and you’re good to go.

Hands down this is the best sushi around. I have eaten sushi all over the world and this is in my top 3. Many say Sakura and H2O in Indy, but for the money and quality, this beats them all. The chefs are friendly so sit at the bar and get to know them. They might even try some new rolls out on you. Order the crunch munch, playboy roll and mafia rolls. The hamachi and maguro are always fresh and tasty!

Definitely one of my favorite places to visit during the summer time. While I mostly go for the beer selection, the food is pretty good too.

Karaoke on Sunday nights make this place awesome. Definitely a great time, and some good ( and some really, really bad ) singers.

I can't speak for others' experiences but I've always been treated well there. I just can't afford to eat there as often as I'd like.
