Try Journey if you are loooking for a chinese buffet. Also, every Sunday Yen Ching (Michigan Rd) has a buffet for lunch. Both are excellent, and they don’t cut corners as far as qualities. It’s a little pricey but worth it.

I’m new to Indy and the first couple times by I swore it read, “Blucky Buffet”
Turns out I might have been more right than I knew.
Thanks for the heads up!

Pass the word to everyone you know….I ate there yesterday for lunch. Just before I took my first bite of fried rice from the buffet I noticed something very dark on the plate, upon inspection of this “thing” I saw; I realized it was a ROACH that had been fried along with the rice. I went to the waitredd and complained but they never even appologized or offered a free lunch or anything. I will never return there and I will do everything in my power to get this place closed down….

They ran my debit card twice, showed me a receipt that I “Had to sign” that said it was a refund for one of the times…two days later,
there are still two debits against my checking account and no credits!
If you’re not Asian or Asian / American, you can imagine the fun that ensued when I tried to call them and talk them through it.
It was NEVER resolved. I’m NEVER going back and making it my personal mission in life to divert as much business away from them as I possibly can! It cost me $18.00 but I hope this revue costs them much, much more!

How did this place get listed with just two dollar signs? This needs to be changed to three, as the buffet price is over $10.
The quality of the slop served at this place is at the lower end of the chinese food scale. Take my advice, don’t waste your money.

I’ve only been once, during the dinner hours. The food was about average for an asian buffet, but with the tab for one person ending up at $14 it wasn’t a good value. The one item that I did really like was the sesame balls, other than that it was all just okay.

I have eaten there a while a go and it was a bad experience, sure the food tasted all right, but that evening I thought my stomach was gonna explode. Im not being a baby either, I can stomach white castle like its a normal food, but this, wow its on a whole new scale.

When they first opened it was the best. But recently it’s been really gross. The last time we ate there my husband was sick for a few days. So I doubt we’ll go back.

My wife and I used to love this place. The iron Chef above is right, however now I think it has hit bottom. There are many things no longer on the menu that used to be, such as Dungeness crab, mussels, Tilapia and normal size fried shrimp.
We went last night and there were even five-minute periods where they were out of crab legs. We had to ask to have our drinks refilled. After our discard plate became full, we had to get our own replacement. All of this and their prices have increased.
We will not be going back.

It’s a better deal at lunch and they have a coupon on http://www.coupons4indy.com .
I don’t eat much of their regular Chinese food in a pan. Instead, I usually get mussels, frog legs, oysters on the half shell, sushi, peel-and-eat shrimp. It’s a pretty good deal to get all of that seafood … but if you don’t like that stuff or are scared to eat it off of a buffet, then that’s a different story.
The people there have always been nice to us. But previous posts are right, the bathroom could use help. That seems to be often the case in Chinese buffets using old Shoney’s buildings.

Unfortunately, this is the best Chinese food on the southside (from what I have seen). I have been there a lot and have never had trouble with the quality of food. The service was good and, even though we have gone there late around closing time, the chefs asked us to tell them if we needed refills of anything. We’ve gone around new years and they gave us free calendars. :) Bathroom was dirty, although, which makes me wonder.

Some dishes are gone; people are not friendly and the place is dirty.

The first time we tried it, we thought the food quality was below average for oriental buffets and the waitress was unfriendly. Don’t plan on going back.

Sorry, but even my 8 year old daughter says that when we drive by!!! I’m not kidding. I thought it was really bad…didn’t seem clean to me, either.
I have been once. Don’t plan on going back!

The 2 times i have been there I was feeling we were watched each time we went to the buffet for food. They would wait until people slowed down to refill the crab legs etc, moving the people to the direction of less costly food. Just did not seem friendly.
