I have also been there several times and everytime I order something differant I have NOT yet found anything that was not cook just right. The atmosphere is great and very relaxing ,on our last visit our waitress
I belive to be called Jennifer was a delightful person with a smile to go with it. ( Try the new york strip & Top Shelf Margarita)can"t go wrong.

I have been there numerous times and the food and service is always great! I LOVE the fact that there are no screaming kids.

I hear what everyone above me put about some of the staff…but the food was outstanding when my boyfriend and I went. Our waitress was helpful and kind when we went, but I do remember the person at the door being not so friendly. I would go back again purely b/c I enjoyed the food so much. :-D

Even though the last time I went to Bobby joe’s I was unimpressed but we decided to give them another shot. We arrive at the restaurant at 8:05pm on NYE. Thats when the hostess tells us our reservation was at 8 and gives us the awkward look. Once we are at our table we are given the “special new years menu”. When I order the seafood bisque(soup of the day), the server says they’re out. Ok..So then I order the salad and decide to order the new years prime rib. They were out of that as well. It was NYE around 8 and they were out of 2 main items of about a total of 10 items. So when we expressed our disappointment there was no apologies no sense of the staff really caring about the fact that our dinner for NYE would be ruined, so we left. Needless to say we were very upset at the service and wont go back. I normally give restaurants the benefit of doubt on busy nights, but this was such a horrible experience that I will never go back. Of all the restaurants i’ve been to in indy this is by far the worst.

While this place has great potential (particularly the patio overlooking the lake), I have been there three times and each occassion been greeted by a less than friendly management (starting at the hostess stand). Each time was a different day, different number of people and different orders – but still received the same sense that we were being looked down on.
I do have to say that the actual servers were very kind. But still, it is hard to enjoy a good meal when you feel inferior.
(I have been to 100’s of restaurants in Indy…this one is the only one that I can’t recommend. I would never give someone a bad review unless I was truly disappointed.)
