Indy's musical history is deep, deep, deep! for as long as the city has existed, Indianapolis has been cranking out fantastic artists of all genres and sounds. seen both as one of the birthplaces of jazz at the turn of the last century, to the strengthening of indie rocks hold on the ears of students everywhere with Margot & tNS&Ss constant touring, indianapolis may get a bad rap for being so darn nice, but we know how to make music happen.

who is you favorite local artist, past, present, or future?

Not necessarily my favorite, but Johnny Socko always gave a good show.

i, too, am a fan of margot. i have been a "follower," of sorts, of richard since joey hamilton in high school! i feel like a lot of the bands i like are fizzling out or morphing into something new, like: those young lions and loretta. i do like the deadbeats and everything now. i saw the belle ends(sp?) at birdy's once and loved them but i haven't been able to find them again. hmmm...
