Xbox or Playstation?
Which do you prefer? Which is better? Why?
Even though the PS3 can play Blu-ray movies, is more reliable than the Xbox 360 and is free to compete over online, I’d have to recommend the 360. There are just more games out for it, and those that are on both platforms look pretty much identical now despite the PS3 technically being more powerful.
On the downside, the Xbox 360 hard drive is proprietary, running $100 for a 60GB or $150 for 120GB. (In contrast, the PS3 uses standard 2.5-inch 5400rpm SATA laptop drives available from numerous manufacturers. Fry’s has a 320GB Western Digital for about the price of the Xbox’s 120GB.) The 360 is also very loud, due to the cooling fans needed to keep the system from dying as often as it does anyways. The New Xbox Experience user interface lets you install games to the hard drive, which means the disc drive doesn’t spin and the system is relatively quiet, but you need either one of the big drives in order to not have to keep deleting and re-installing as you switch games.
I’m just a caveman and your words are strange to me.
Thanks, that was very informative. You are the first person to give me such a detailed and useful answer.

As a parent, I would have said the Wii a few days ago, becuase there has to be some movement in it…I realize you didn’t ask about the Wii, but still…anyway, on Christmas, I saw some kids playing a Star Wars game complete with Wii light sabers and they were leaning on the arm of the couch barely moving their arms, so maybe the Wii as an exercise tool only works in theory. (Personally I would still like one for the yoga work out etc…) My son’s have the X-box and I haven’t heard them yammering about wanting another system so that is saying something. They have had it for two years too, which should make it a dinosaur in technology speak. Based on the variables you present, I would have to say Xbox, but I wouls still kind of like a Wii.

I have the ps2 for guita hero world tour and rock band hoping to get some more games for it as those are the only two I have for it so far amd an xbox (regualr) for halo which is pretty awesome so I really can’t decide
We have an Xbox and a wii … personally I prefer the Xbox.
Even though the graphics aren’t the greatest, the “WII” will make you get off your ass (which I needed to do anyways) and really get into the game. Your working out and don’t even know it. Wear the wrist-strap otherwise the controller might fly out of your hand and knock your opponent upside the head. That might not be a bad thing if he or she is beating ya!

I love the Xbox. There’s just so many games available, and the graphics are great.
I’m a PS3 guy. I’ve had the original PS, PS2 and now the PS3. The 360 has been out for a while longer and that’s why there’s more games. They’re slowly releasing more and more games for the PS3. Plus, I’m turning into a Blu-Ray whore since I got my PS3….
