We should all know about the Grey album by now (when producer Dangermouse, of Gnarls Barkley, created an album by combining the music of the Beatles' White Album and the lyrics of Jay-Z's Black Album, but he never had the legal rights to release it. But for the first time those rights have been granted.

The song "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" appears on Wu-Tang's upcoming new album, The 5th Diagram, and features John Fusciante, Erykah Badu, and George Harrison's son, Dhani Harrison.

Here's an interview with producer Rza explaining how the song came about.

Peace.

Kind of a sidenote, but if you manage to wrangle a download of The Grey Album, I’d really recommend it … and I find Jay-Z unlistenable usually …
